Single purpose
The Mixtape Rosetta Chrome extension saves the song information (title, artist and link) of the YouTube video you are viewing into a local, ordered mixtape list, and exports that list as a file for the Mixtape Rosetta iPhone app.
What the extension reads
Only when you click the Mixtape Rosetta button, the extension reads the current tab’s video title, channel name and web address so you can save the song. It does not read other tabs or your browsing history, and it installs no scripts that run on pages automatically.
Where your list is stored
Your list is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage on your computer. Files you export are saved where you choose. Removing the extension deletes its stored list; exported files stay until you delete them.
Permissions
- activeTab and scripting: read the title, channel and address of the tab you clicked the button on.
- storage: keep your list in Chrome on your computer.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell or transfer your data, use it for advertising or to determine creditworthiness, or allow people to read it.
Not included in this edition
The Chrome Web Store edition keeps song information only. It does not download or save audio.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message and use them only to reply and to improve the app. The website privacy policy explains how long we keep these messages. Please leave passwords, access keys and other people’s private records out of your message.
Your requests
Information the app keeps on your own device or computer can be viewed, exported and deleted there. Information held by a service you connect is controlled by them, as described above. To ask about information you have sent us, or to have it deleted, contact us as above. We respond within 30 days. California residents have these rights under California law, and we extend them to everyone.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what the app stores or sends, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
